students must be enrolled in private lessons to participate in groups
Private lessons are an important step in your student's musical education providing focused instruction according to each student's learning pace. A custom plan is created for each student.
We meet once a week to learn:
We also employ fun and engaging activities to help students grasp musical elements. Like the use of drums and percussion to understand rhythm or using the piano & ukulele to learn about chord theory and structure or playing with audio tracks to learn improvisation.
We follow the Cherokee County School Calendar for holiday schedule

Playing together is different than playing an instrument by yourself. It requires team skills and timing as well as communication between the performers and director.
Group performance motivates students to practice their music - no one likes to get up in front of an audience and not know their part!
Students also learn how to conduct themselves on stage in front of an audience. When they do well on stage their confidence grows and it's just plain fun!
Play your flute or sax with a group of two or more students and share your musical gifts with your community.

Pianists don't normally play together and it's somewhat intimidating to be a soloist having to carry the whole performance.
Piano Pals get together to have fun and enjoy the group experience while they learn important performance skills.
Similar to the ensemble students, Piano Pals learn team skills, timing, as well as communication between performers and director.
The group setting engenders friendly competition. When they see their friends learning a new piece, students want to practice so they can join in!
